George Villiers Dreyer was born circa 1884.² He was the son of John Louis Emil Dreyer and Katherine Hannah Tuthill.¹ He married, firstly, Valeska Margaret Critchley, daughter of Charles Hubert Morgan Critchley, on 2 January 1923 at Malabar, India.² He married, secondly, Gertrude Eleanor Kathleen Campbell-Lambert, daughter of Archibald Vaughan Campbell-Lambert and Gertrude Hall Attye, on 19 August 1935.¹ He died on 18 June 1965.¹
