     William Macintosh, Lord Kyllachy was born on 9 April 1842.1 He was the son of William Macintosh and Mary Walker.1 He died on 9 December 1918 at age 76.1
     He was styled as Lord Kyllachy [Scots Law Lord]. He was educated at Edinburgh Academy, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He graduated from University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, in 1862 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was a practising Advocate in 1865.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Ross, Cromarty and Sutherland in 1881.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society, Edinburgh (F.R.S.E.) in 1891.1 He held the office of Senator of the College of Justice.1

     He was admitted to Advocate.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Gordon Highlanders.1 He fought in the First World War.1
