     Sir Samuel Scott, 2nd Bt. was born on 29 April 1772.1 He was the son of Sir Claude Scott, 1st Bt. and Martha Eyre.1 He married Anne Ommanney, daughter of Edward Ommanney, on 4 February 1796.1 He died on 30 September 1849 at age 77.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Malmesbury between 1802 and 1806.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Camelford between 1812 and 1818.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Whitchurch between 1818 and 1832.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Scott, of Lytchet Minster, co. Dorset [U.K., 1821] on 27 March 1830.
