     Watkin Anwyl Evans was born on 19 November 1878.¹ He married, firstly, Catherine Hegarty on 27 March 1893 at Rawalpindi, Bengal, India.¹ He married, secondly, Ethel Maud Marcar, daughter of Edward Samuel Marcar and Sarah Plummer, in 1909 at Rangoon, Burma.¹
