     Lt.-Col. Ashton Henry Warner was born in 1838 at Trinidad.1 He married Elizabeth Sparowe Hastings, daughter of Thomas Hastings and Ellen Sparrowe, on 12 November 1868 at Lahore, Pakistan.1 He died on 28 February 1912 at Malvern, Victoria, Australia.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenat-Colonel in the 41st Welsh Regiment.2
