     Mary Gardiner was born on 11 August 1786.1 She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. William Neville Gardiner and Harriet Wrottesley. She married Charles Holland Hastings on 19 September 1808 at Lichfield, Staffordshire, England.1 She died on 8 January 1851 at age 64 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.
     From 19 September 1808, her married name became Hastings.

Charles Holland Hastings
