     Louise Violet Beatrice Montagu-Stuart-Wortley was born on 18 July 1893.1 She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Hon. Edward James Montagu-Stuart-Wortley and Violet Hunter Guthrie.1 She married Sir Percy Lytham Loraine, 12th Bt., son of Rear-Admiral Sir Lambton Loraine, 11th Bt. and Frederica Mary Horatia Vere-Broke, on 23 October 1924.1,2 She died on 8 June 1970 at age 76, without issue.1
     She was appointed Dame of Grace, Order of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)3 From 23 October 1924, her married name became Loraine.1

     Sir Percy Lytham Loraine, 12th Bt. was born on 5 November 1880.2 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Sir Lambton Loraine, 11th Bt. and Frederica Mary Horatia Vere-Broke.2 He married Louise Violet Beatrice Montagu-Stuart-Wortley, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Hon. Edward James Montagu-Stuart-Wortley and Violet Hunter Guthrie, on 23 October 1924.1,2 He died on 23 May 1961 at age 80.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.3 He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.3 He fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902.3 He was with the Diplomatic Service between 1904 and 1940.3 He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Loraine, of Kirkharle, Northumberland [E., 1664] on 13 May 1917.4 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1921.3 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1925.3 He held the office of Ambassador to Turkey between 1933 and 1939.3 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 21 December 1933.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.) in 1937.1 He held the office of Ambassador to Italy between 1939 and 1940.3 On his death his baronetcy became extinct.3
