Robert Hope Fitzroy

     Robert Hope Fitzroy was born on 10 September 1881.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. William Fitzroy and Gertrude Mary Wentworth. He married Stella Agnes Piercy Kelly, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Richard Macdougall Brisbane Francis Kelly, on 20 May 1915.1 He died on 14 September 1952 at age 71.1
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 He was educated at Cooper's Hill Engineering College.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Garrison Artillery.1 On 4 January 1937 his name was legally changed to Robert Hope FitzRoy-Kelly by Royal Licence.1 His name was legally changed to Robert Hope FitzRoy.1

     Stella Agnes Piercy Kelly is the daughter of Brig.-Gen. Richard Macdougall Brisbane Francis Kelly.1 She married Robert Hope Fitzroy, son of Lt.-Col. William Fitzroy and Gertrude Mary Wentworth, on 20 May 1915.1
     Her married name became Fitzroy.
