     Annette Amelia Kitson was born on 10 April 1873.2 She was the daughter of James Kitson and Elizabeth Hutchinson.1 She married Sir John Bromhead Matthews, son of Thomas Colton Matthews, on 12 September 1910.1 She died on 8 December 1957 at age 84.2
     From 12 September 1910, her married name became Matthews.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Tunbridge Wells.2
