     General Alexander Markovitch Poltoratsky was born in 1766.2 He was the son of Mark Fedorovitch Poltoratsky and Agafokleya Alexandrovna Shishkova.2 He married Maria Gascoigne, daughter of Sir Charles Gascoigne and Mary Garbett.2 He died in 1839.2
     He lived at St. Petersburg, Russia.1

     He gained the title of 1st Baronet Soame.

     Amelia Thompson was the daughter of Stephen Thompson.1 She married Rt. Hon. Lt.-Gen. Sir Frederick Adam, son of Rt. Hon. William Adam of Blair and Hon. Eleanor Elphinstone, on 20 July 1811.1 She died in 1812 at Messina, Sicily, Italy.1
     From 20 July 1811, her married name became Adam.1
