     General Alexander Markovitch Poltoratzky was born in 1766.2 He was the son of Mark Fedorovitch Poltoratzky and Agafokleya Alexandrovna Chichkov.2 He married Maria Gascoigne, daughter of Sir Charles Gascoigne and Mary Garbett.2 He died in 1839.2
     He lived at St. Petersburg, Russia.1

     From 20 July 1811, her married name became Adam.1
