     Lt.-Col. Claude George Henry Sitwell was born on 18 October 1858.1 He was the son of Captain George Frederick Sitwell and Cecilia Fanny Fitzroy.1 He married Amy Elizabeth Barrington Cooke, daughter of Robert Barrington Cooke, in 1887.1 He died circa 22 February 1900 at Pieter's Hill, South AfricaG, killed in action.
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Manchester Regiment.1 He was Vice-Consul to Uganda.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1899.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Dublin Fusiliers.1 He fought in the Boer War.

Amy Elizabeth Barrington Cooke

     Amy Elizabeth Barrington Cooke was the daughter of Robert Barrington Cooke. She married Lt.-Col. Claude George Henry Sitwell, son of Captain George Frederick Sitwell and Cecilia Fanny Fitzroy, in 1887.1 She died on 23 April 1890.1
     Her married name became Sitwell.

     Cecilia Dorothy Charlotte Sitwell is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Claude George Henry Sitwell and Amy Elizabeth Barrington Cooke.1 She married, firstly, Major Percy John Harris in September 1910.1 She and Major Percy John Harris were divorced.1 She married, secondly, Frederick Baker Laine Maunsell, son of Reverend Frederick Webster Maunsell and Emily Caroline Laing, in 1919.2
     Her married name became Harris. From 1919, her married name became Maunsell.

     He gained the rank of Major in the Army Vetinary Corps.

     Cecil Frederick Sitwell was born on 26 May 1860.1 He was the son of Captain George Frederick Sitwell and Cecilia Fanny Fitzroy.1 He died on 14 June 1900 at age 40 at Sanhandi, GambiaG, killed.1
     He was Government Commissioner to the Gambia Tribes.1 He was Secretary and Aide-de-Camp to Governor of the Windward Islands.1

     Herbert Wellington Sitwell was born on 1 August 1861.1 He was the son of Captain George Frederick Sitwell and Cecilia Fanny Fitzroy.1 He married, firstly, Julietta Fisher Cary, daughter of Major Robert Cary, on 15 January 1885.1 He and Julietta Fisher Cary were divorced in 1901 at Virginia, U.S.A.G.1 He married, secondly, Eva Putney, daughter of Stephan Putney, in 1914.1 He died on 23 January 1922 at age 60.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 4th Battalion, Sutherland and Argyll Highlanders.1
