     Sir Robert Poynings was born circa 1419.1 He was the son of Robert de Poynings, 4th Lord Poynings and Eleanor Grey.1 He married Elizabeth Paston, daughter of William Paston and Agnes Berry, in 1458.1 He died on 17 February 1461, killed in action.1
     He fought in the Second Battle of St. Albans on 17 February 1461.1

     Elizabeth Paston was born on 1 July 1429.1 She was the daughter of William Paston and Agnes Berry.1,2 She married, firstly, Sir Robert Poynings, son of Robert de Poynings, 4th Lord Poynings and Eleanor Grey, in 1458.1 She married, secondly, Sir George Browne, son of Sir Thomas Browne and Eleanor Fitzalan, in 1471.2 She died on 1 February 1488 at age 58.1
     From 1458, her married name became Poynings.1 From 1471, her married name became Browne.2
