     Admiral Sir Horace Rochfort Law was born on 23 June 1911 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He was the son of Samuel Horace Law and Sybil Mary Clay.1 He married Heather Valerie Coryton, daughter of Reverend Henry Haworth Coryton and Frederica Kathleen Willis Hives, on 13 December 1941 at Surrey, England.1 He died on 30 January 2005 at age 93 at West Harting, Sussex, England.1
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1950.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1963.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1967.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1972.1
