Reverend William Bruce1

     Reverend William Bruce was born on 6 September 1816.1 He was the son of John Bruce Bruce-Pryce and Sarah Austin.1 He married, firstly, Mary Elizabeth Conybeare, daughter of Very Rev. W. D. Conybeare, on 28 December 1843.1 He married Margaret Harriet Olivier, daughter of Colonel Henry Stephen Olivier, on 14 July 1868.1 He died on 28 March 1894 at age 77.1
     He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1839 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was Rector between 1840 and 1871 at St. Nicholas, Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales.1 He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1841 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Canon of Llandaff between 1863 and 1870.1 He lived at Brynderwen, Usk, Monmouthshire, Wales.1

     Mary Elizabeth Conybeare was the daughter of Very Rev. W. D. Conybeare.1 She married Reverend William Bruce, son of John Bruce Bruce-Pryce and Sarah Austin, on 28 December 1843.1 She died on 24 April 1866.1
     From 28 December 1843, her married name became Bruce.1

     Venerable William Conybeare Bruce was born on 8 September 1844.1 He was the son of Reverend William Bruce and Mary Elizabeth Conybeare.1 He married Antonia Cholmeley, daughter of Reverend John Montague Cholmeley, on 4 April 1872.1
     He held the office of Canon of Llandaff in 1885.1 He held the office of Archdeacon of Monmouth.1 He was Rector in 1901 at Roggiett, Monmouthshire, Wales.1
