John Maxwell Campbell was born on 3 October 1870 at Kensington, London, England.1 He was the son of Colonel Frederick Campbell and Emilie Guillaumine Maclaine.1 He married Hilda Mary Wade, daughter of Claude Fitzroy Wade, on 8 August 1901 at Camberwell, London, England.1 He died on 6 March 1954 at age 83 at Westminster, London, England.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 8th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.2 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1927.2 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1927.2

     Hilda Mary Wade was born in July 1881.1 She was the daughter of Claude Fitzroy Wade.2 She married Lt.-Col. John Maxwell Campbell, son of Colonel Frederick Campbell and Emilie Guillaumine Maclaine, on 8 August 1901 at Camberwell, London, England.1 She died on 3 May 1969 at age 87.2
     From 8 August 1901, her married name became Campbell.1

     Edith Jane Warren was born on 7 December 1880 at Surabaya, Java, Indonesia.1 She was the daughter of Arthur John Warren and Sophia Jane Wilson.1 She married Sir Edward Taswell Campbell, 1st Bt., son of Colonel Frederick Campbell and Emilie Guillaumine Maclaine, on 28 January 1904.1 She died on 26 October 1951 at age 70 at Stonycrest, Hindhead, Surrey, England.1
     From 28 January 1904, her married name became Campbell.1 She was appointed Dame of Grace, Order of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)2

     Sir Charles Duncan Macnair Campbell, 2nd Bt. usually went by his middle name of Duncan.2 He was educated at Dulwich College, London, England.2 He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1928 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Honourable Artillery Company.2 He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1933 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was manager of Caledonian Gas Corporation Ltd between 1937 and 1944.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Campbell, of Airds Bay [U.K., 1939] on 17 July 1945.2 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.2
