     Emily Grey Birrell was born in 1845.1 She was the daughter of Reverend Charles Mitchell Birrell and Harriet Jane Grey.1 She married Reverend Edward Medley on 14 July 1869 at Pembroke Chapel, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.1 She died in 1919.1
     From 14 July 1869, her married name became Medley.1
