     Miles Bury Selby-Smyth was the son of Lt.-Col. E. G. Selby-Smyth.1 He married Violet Emily Drummond, daughter of Cecil George Assheton Drummond and Charlotte Amelia Brook, on 8 October 1912.1 He died on 15 March 1915, killed in action.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Rifle Brigade.1 He fought in the First World War.1
