Thomas Cranley Onslow was born in 1778 at St. Marylebone, London, England.1 He was the son of Thomas Onslow, 2nd Earl of Onslow and Arabella Mainwaring Ellerker.1 He married Susannah Elizabeth Hiller, daughter of Nathaniel Hiller, on 28 May 1812.2 He died on 7 July 1861 at Old Alresford, Hampshire, England.1
     He fought in the Peninsular Wars, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 2nd Surrey Militia.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Scots Fusilier Guards.2 He lived at Stoke Park, Surrey, England.2 He lived at Upton House, Hampshire, England.2

     Hon. Edward Mainwaring Mainwaring-Ellerker-Onslow was born on 2 October 1779 at London, England.2 He was the son of Thomas Onslow, 2nd Earl of Onslow and Arabella Mainwaring Ellerker.2 He died on 30 July 1861 at age 81, unmarried.2,1
     He was given the name of Edward Mainwaring Onslow at birth.1 His name was legally changed to Edward Mainwaring Mainwaring-Ellerker-Onslow on inheriting the family estates.1 He fought in the Peninsular Wars.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Scots Fusilier Guards.1
