     Mark Courtenay Bodley was born on 22 May 1918 at Cambridgeshire, England.1,2 He was the son of Ronald Victor Courtenay Bodley and Ruth Mary Elizabeth Stapleton-Bretherton.1 He died on 17 December 1942 at age 24 at Libya, killed on active service.1,2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Scots Greys.1 He fought in the Second World War.1
