     Colonel Robert Moseley Bryce Thomas was born on 14 September 1840 at Calcutta, India.1 He was the son of Robert Moseley Thomas and Henrietta Bryce.1 He married Blanche le Geyt, daughter of Philip le Geyt and Caroline Anderson, on 15 April 1863 at South Bersted, Sussex, England.1 He died in 1938.1
     He was commissioned on 6 January 1859.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Indian Staff Corps.1 He was deputy commissioner of Central Province in December 1885.1 He was Inspector-General of Police and Jails in April 1894.1 He was commissioner of Chhattisgarh in October 1894.1
