     Rev. Hon. Maurice Berkeley Peel was born on 23 April 1873.1 He was the son of Arthur Wellesley Peel, 1st Viscount Peel of Sandy and Adelaide Dugdale.1 He married Emily Alington, daughter of Julius Alington, on 29 July 1909.1 He died on 14 May 1917 at age 44, killed in action.1
     He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was Rector at Wrestlingworth, England.1 He was Vicar between 1906 and 1909 at Eyworth, Bedfordshire, England.1 He was Vicar between 1909 and 1915 at St. Paul, Beckenham, Kent, England.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches and was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1915 and bar (1917.)1 He was Vicar between 1915 and 1917 at Tamworth, Staffordshire, England.1

     Emily Alington was the daughter of Julius Alington.1 She married Rev. Hon. Maurice Berkeley Peel, son of Arthur Wellesley Peel, 1st Viscount Peel of Sandy and Adelaide Dugdale, on 29 July 1909.1 She died on 24 March 1912.1
     From 29 July 1909, her married name became Peel.1
