     Robert Monson was the son of William Monson and Elizabeth Tyrwhitt.1 He married Elizabeth Dyon, daughter of John Dyon, on 12 September 1559.1 He died on 25 September 1583, without issue.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lincoln.1 He held the office of Recorder of Lincoln in 1567.1 He held the office of Justice of the Court of Common Pleas in 1572.1
