     Maximilian Baron von Dungern was born on 12 September 1926 at Walschwind. He was the son of Hermann-Heinrich Baron von Dungern and Adelheid von Veltheim. He married Wanja Wawrinska on 26 September 1952 at Stockholm, Sweden. He died in January 1992 at age 65 at Inuvik, North-West Province, Canada.
