     He was Chamberlain and Hofmarschall to the King of the Netherlands.1 He was Secretary of the King's Office [The Netherlands].1 He held the office of Minister of Foreign Affairs [The Netherlands].1 He was created 1st Baron Huyssen van Kattendijke [The Netherlands] on 16 October 1827.1 On 11 March 1828 he was granted the hereditary title of Ridder on his younger sons.1
