     John Wood was born on 4 November 1789.1 He was the son of Ottiwell Wood and Grace Grundy.1 He married Elizabeth Serjeantson, daughter of Reverend James Serjeantson and Mary Bell, on 9 December 1828 at Kirby Knowle, Yorkshire, England.1 He died on 10 October 1856 at age 66.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)1 He lived at Edge Hill, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.1 He was educated in 1806 at Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1825.1
