     Reverend James Wykes was born circa 1765.1 He married Elizabeth Lumley, daughter of Reverend James Lumley and Alice Rutherford, on 22 January 1794 at Little Dalby, Leicestershire, England.1 He died circa 13 August 1822.1 He was buried on 16 August 1822 at Haselbeech, Northamptonshire, England.1
     He graduated from Clare Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1786 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was Rector between 1798 and 1822 at Haselbeech, Northamptonshire, England.1
