     Sir John Eldon Bankes was born on 17 April 1854.1 He was the son of John Scott Bankes and Annie Jervis.1 He married Edith Ethelston in 1882.1 He died on 31 December 1946 at age 92.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was admitted to Inner temple in 1878 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He held the office of Judge of the King's Bench Division of the High Court in 1910.1 He held the office of Lord Justice of Appeal.1

     John Scott Bankes was baptised on 11 March 1826 at Corfe Castle, Dorset, England.1 He was the son of Reverend Edward Bankes and Lady Frances Jane Scott.1 He married, firstly, Annie Jervis on 28 July 1849 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.1 He married, secondly, Adelaide Sophia Pearson in 1883 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.1 He died on 16 September 1894 at age 68 at Soughton Hall, Northamptonshire, England.1
