Richmond ffolliott Powell and Alice Katharine Beatrix Shedden.1 He married, firstly, Diana E. Higgs in 1940.1 He married, secondly, Marietta B. F. von Foglar-Deinhardstein in 1963.1 He died on 31 October 1994 at age 78 at London, England.1
     He was given the name of George ffolliott Powell at birth.1 He was educated at Wellington College, Wellington, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Air Force College, Cranwell, Lincolnshire, England.1 He was commissioned on 19 December 1936, in the service of the Royal Air Force.1 In 1938 his name was legally changed to George ffolliott Powell-Shedden by Deed Poll.1 He fought in the Battle of Britain.1 He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in September 1941.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.) in December 1941.1 He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) and bar.1 He was in teh British Olympic bobsled team.1 He was awarded the Group Captain on 1 January 1954.1 He retired from the military in 1961.1
