     Jan I van Duivenvoorde Heer van Breda Castricum en Heemskerk was born in 1285.¹ He was the son of Philips III Heer van Duivenvoorde Heer van Strijen en Polanen and Elisabeth van Beusichem.¹ He married Catharina van Brederode Vrouwe van Polanen, daughter of Dirk II 'de Goede' Heer van Brederode and Maria van De-Leck, in 1320.¹ He died on 26 September 1342.¹ He was buried at Monster, The Netherlands.¹
     He held the office of Bailiff of Woerden, Rijnland, Kennemerland en West-Friesland.¹

     Mary Gray Grove was born on 6 January 1836.² She was the daughter of Major Henry Jones Grove and Mary Anne Sinclair.³ She married Rt. Rev. John Martindale Speechly, son of Thomas Kelfull Speechly and Sarah Bellers, on 6 January 1863 at Trivandrum, Madras, India.^1,2 She died on 5 September 1918 at age 82.²
     From 6 January 1863, her married name became Speechly.¹
