     Margaret Elizabeth Hamar was born in June 1754.1 She was the daughter of Rear-Admiral Joseph Hamar.2 She married Reverend John Arden, son of Henry Arden and Alathea Cotton, on 15 May 1775 at Longcroft, Yoxford, Suffolk, England.1 She died on 5 July 1842 at age 88.1
     From 15 May 1775, her married name became Arden.1

     Henry Arden was born in 1779.1 He was the son of Reverend John Arden and Margaret Elizabeth Hamar.1 He died on 10 April 1814 at Toulouse, France, killed in action.2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 61st Foot.2 He fought in the Napoleonic Wars.2
