     Eleanor Slingsby is the daughter of William Cecil Slingsby.2 She married Geoffrey Winthrop Young, son of Sir George Young, 3rd Bt. and Alice Eacy Kennedy, on 25 April 1918.1
     From 25 April 1918, her married name became Young.

     Jocelin Slingsby Winthrop-Young was born on 25 October 1919.1 He was the son of Geoffrey Winthrop Young and Eleanor Slingsby.2 He married, firstly, Countess Ghislaine de la Gardie, daughter of Count Gustaf de la Gardie, on 11 March 1951.1 He and Countess Ghislaine de la Gardie were divorced in 1974.1 He married, secondly, Syblie gräfin von der Schulenburg in 1975.1 He died on 9 February 2012 at age 92.3
     He was educated at Gordonstoun School, Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland.1 He was educated at University of Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.1 He was tutor to the Crown Prince of Greece between 1948 and 1958.1 He was Headmaster and founder between 1949 and 1959 at Anavryta School, Athens, Greece.1 He was with the Foreign Office between 1959 and 1963.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1960.1 He was awarded the Commander, Order of St. George and St. Constantine of Greece.1 He was Headmaster in 1964 at Salem School.1

     Countess Ghislaine de la Gardie was the daughter of Count Gustaf de la Gardie.2 She married Jocelin Slingsby Winthrop-Young, son of Geoffrey Winthrop Young and Eleanor Slingsby, on 11 March 1951.1 She and Jocelin Slingsby Winthrop-Young were divorced in 1974.1 She died in 1987.1
     From 11 March 1951, her married name became Winthrop-Young.
