     Elizabeth Laird was born circa 1835 at Birkenhead, Cheshire, England.1 She was the daughter of John Laird and Elizabeth Hurry.1 She married James Thomson Bristow, son of James Bristow and Jane Smith, on 12 August 1856 at St. Mary's Church, Birkenhead, Cheshire, England.2 She died on 1 February 1865 at Wilmont House, Dunmurry, County Antrim, Ireland.2
     From 12 August 1856, her married name became Bristow.2
