Sir Robert William Herbert Williams-Wynn, 9th Bt.

     Sir Robert William Herbert Williams-Wynn, 9th Bt. was born on 3 June 1862.1 He is the son of Colonel Herbert Watkin Williams-Wynn and Anna Lloyd.2 He married Elizabeth Ida Lowther, daughter of George William Lowther and Mary Frances Alice Bingham, on 28 January 1904.1 He died on 23 November 1951 at age 89.
     He was Honour Colonel 61st Carnarvon and Denbigh Yeomanry (TA), Boer –01 (despatches twice) and WW I (despatches three times), Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.) War 1900.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)2 He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) (Denbighs and Flints).1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)2 He gained the title of 9th Baronet Williams-Wynn. He was MFH Flint and Denbigh , Denbighs: Ld-Lt, president TAA, Honour Capt, Lieutenant-Colonel and Brevet Colonel Montgomery Yeomanry in 1888.1 He graduated in 1891 with a Wellington and Ch Ch Oxford Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) ).1 He was Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1902.1 He was Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1909.1 He was Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1938.1
