     Alexander Garden Fraser was born on 6 October 1873 at Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire, Scotland.^1,2 He was the son of Sir Andrew Henderson Leith Fraser and Agnes Whitehead Archibald.¹ He married Annie Beatrice Glass between 1901 and 1905 at Entebbe, Uganda.¹ He died in 1962.¹
     He was educated at Merchiston Castle School, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.² He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He was the principal between 1904 and 1924 at Trinity College, Sri Lanka.² He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹
