     George Neville Clive Wigram, 2nd Baron Wigram was born on 2 August 1915.1 He was the son of Clive Wigram, 1st Baron Wigram and Nora Mary Chamberlain.2 He married Margaret Helen Thorne, daughter of General Sir Augustus Francis Andrew Nicol Thorne and Hon. Margaret Douglas-Pennant, on 19 July 1941.1 He died on 23 May 2017 at age 101.3
     George Neville Clive Wigram, 2nd Baron Wigram usually went by his middle name of Neville.1 He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He held the office of Page of Honour to HM King George V between 1925 and 1932.1 He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.1 He was Military Cross (M.C.) in 1945.1 He was Military Secretary and Comptroller to the Governor-General of New Zealand between 1946 and 1949.1 He was commander of the 1st Battalion, Grenadier Guards between 1955 and 1956.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Gloucestershire in 1959.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Wigram [U.K., 1935] on 3 September 1960.1 He was Governor of Winchester Hospital between 1967 and 1974.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Gloucestershire in 1969.1 He lived in 2003 at Poulton Fields, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England.1

     Margaret Helen Thorne was born on 17 January 1917 at Farmborough, Hampshire, England.2 She was the daughter of General Sir Augustus Francis Andrew Nicol Thorne and Hon. Margaret Douglas-Pennant.3,2 She married George Neville Clive Wigram, 2nd Baron Wigram, son of Clive Wigram, 1st Baron Wigram and Nora Mary Chamberlain, on 19 July 1941.1 She died in 1986.1
     From 19 July 1941, her married name became Wigram. After her marriage, Margaret Helen Thorne was styled as Baroness Wigram on 3 September 1960.
