     Very Rev. Ralph Layard White was born on 16 February 1872.1 He was the son of Robert Holmes White and Elizabeth Sarah Frith.2 He married Ruth Boswell Stone, daughter of Reverend E. D. Stone, on 1 November 1910.1 He died on 25 December 1954 at age 82.1
     He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Vicar between 1929 and 1934 at Catheral Church of St. Saviour, Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Africa.1 He held the office of Dean of Maritzburg between 1929 and 1934.1 He was Rector between 1934 and 1939 at Peakirk, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England.1
