Major Sir Cecil Edward Walker, 3rd Bt.1

     Major Sir Cecil Edward Walker, 3rd Bt. was born on 6 August 1882.1 He is the son of Sir Samuel Walker, 1st Bt. and Eleanor MacLaughlin.2 He married Violet McMaster, daughter of Hugh Dunbar McMaster, on 22 October 1924.1 He died on 2 July 1964 at age 81.1
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1918.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1919.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Walker, of Pembroke House, Dublin [U.K., 1906] on 22 November 1932.1
