     Elizabeth Heriot is the daughter of James Heriot of Traboun.2 She married James Sandilands, 2nd Lord Torphichen, son of James Sandilands, 9th of Calder and Jean Ross, on 1 August 1595.1
     From 1 August 1595, her married name became Sandilands.

James Sandilands, 3rd Lord Torphichen1

     James Sandilands, 3rd Lord Torphichen was born from 1596 to 1597.1 He was the son of James Sandilands, 2nd Lord Torphichen and Elizabeth Heriot.2 He died in January 1621/22, unmarried.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Torphichen, of Saint John of Torphichen, West Lothian [S., 1564] in August 1617.1

     Hon. William Sandilands is the son of James Sandilands, 2nd Lord Torphichen and Elizabeth Heriot.2 He married, firstly, Grizel Bannatyne in 1626.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth (?) on 1 January 1641.1
     He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He lived at Hilderstown, Scotland.1

     John Sandilands was born circa 1431.1 He was the son of Sir John Sandilands, 4th of Calder and Christian Dundas.1 He died on 21 August 1451, assassinated for loyalty to King James II by Patrick Thornton.1
