Sir George Ivison Tapps, 1st Bt. was born on 5 January 1753.1 He was the son of George Gervis Tapps and Jane Ivison.2 He married Sarah Buggin, daughter of Barrington Buggin, on 29 July 1790.1 He died on 15 March 1835 at age 82.1
