     Sir Philip Allan Stonhouse, 14th/17th Bt. was born on 24 October 1916.¹ He was the son of Sir Arthur Allan Stonhouse, 13th/16th Bt. and Beatrice Feron.² He married Winifred Emily Shield, daughter of John M. Shield, on 19 June 1946.¹ He died in 1993.¹
     He was educated at Western Canada College, Canada.¹ He was educated at Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.¹ He succeeded as the 17th Baronet Stonhouse, of Radley, Berkshire [E., 1628] on 22 November 1967.¹ He succeeded as the 14th Baronet Stonhouse [E., 1670] on 22 November 1967.¹

     John M. Shield lived at Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.¹

     Winifred Emily Shield was the daughter of John M. Shield.² She married Sir Philip Allan Stonhouse, 14th/17th Bt., son of Sir Arthur Allan Stonhouse, 13th/16th Bt. and Beatrice Feron, on 19 June 1946.¹ She died in 1989.¹
     From 19 June 1946, her married name became Stonhouse.
