Sir Beville Douglas Stanier, 3rd Bt. was born on 20 April 1934.1 He is the son of Brigadier Sir Alexander Beville Gibbons Stanier, 2nd Bt. and Dorothy Gladys Miller.2 He married, firstly, Violet Shelagh Sinnott, daughter of Major James Stockley Sinnott and Marjorie Kemble, on 23 February 1963.3 He married, secondly, Nerena Anne Hyde Villiers, daughter of William Nicholas Somers Laurence Hyde Villiers and Mary Cecilia Georgina Weld-Forester, circa 2010.3
