Ronald William Edward Finch was born on 28 September 1889.1 He was the son of Major Charles Wightwick Finch, 8th Earl of Aylesford and Marcella Araminta Victoria Ross.1 He married Grace Edith Langley, daughter of Walter Langley, on 19 July 1920.1 He died on 27 July 1948 at age 58, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Midshipman in the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Canadian Forces.1
