     Samuel John Best, 7th Baron Wynford was born on 24 June 1874.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. George Best, 5th Baron Wynford and Edith Anne Marsh. He married, firstly, Evelyn Mary Aylmer May, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Edward Sinclair May, on 26 August 1914. He married Marguerite Jane Pratt, daughter of Charles Pratt, on 5 June 1930.2 He died on 29 August 1943 at age 69.2
     He was Lieutenant Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.1 He gained the title of 7th Baron Wynford. He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.

     Lt.-Col. Robert Samuel Best, 8th Baron Wynford was born on 5 January 1917.1 He is the son of Samuel John Best, 7th Baron Wynford and Evelyn Mary Aylmer May. He married Anne Daphne Mametz Minshull-Ford, daughter of Maj.-Gen. John Randle Minshull-Ford, on 6 May 1941.1 He died on 21 January 2002 at age 85.1
      Lt.-Col. Robert Samuel Best, 8th Baron Wynford usually went by his middle name of Bobby.1 He was educated Eton and RMC Sandhurst.1 He gained the title of 8th Baron Wynford. He was Lieutenant-Colonel RWF , WW II (wounded, Croix de Guerre 1943), Instr Staff College 1945–46, War Off 1947–49, OC Royal Welch Fusiliers Depot 1955–57, Instr JSSC 1957–60, RARO 1960 in 1937.1 He was Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1952.1 He was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) (Dorset ) in 1970.1

     Lt.-Col. Sir Malcolm Donald Murray was born on 9 July 1867.2 He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Alexander Henry Murray and Martha Frances Vincent Davenport.3 He married Lady Hilda Joanna Gwendoline Finch, daughter of Heneage Finch, 7th Earl of Aylesford and Edith Peers-Williams, on 12 April 1898.1 He died on 2 August 1938 at age 71.1
     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.).2 He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.).2 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).2 He was Comptroller and Equerry to HRH The Duke of Connaught.2 He gained the rank of Major and Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Seaforth Highlanders.2 He held the office of Deputy Ranger of Windsor Great Park between 1929 and 1937.2 He was invested as a Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.).2
