Jean Abernethy is the daughter of Alexander Abernethy, 6th Lord Saltoun of Abernethy and Lady Alison Keith.2 She married, firstly, Alexander Seton of Meldrum, son of William Seton of Meldrum and Janet Gordon, in 1579.2 She married, secondly, John Urquhart, son of Alexander Urquhart and Beatrice Innes, in 1595 at Saltoun, East Lothian, Scotland.1 She died before 1610.
     From 1579, her married name became Seton. From 1595, her married name became Urquhart.1

     John Urquhart was born in 1547.2 He is the son of Alexander Urquhart and Beatrice Innes.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Gordon, daughter of John Gordon of Cairnburrow, circa 1580.2 He married, secondly, Hon. Jean Abernethy, daughter of Alexander Abernethy, 6th Lord Saltoun of Abernethy and Lady Alison Keith, in 1595 at Saltoun, East Lothian, Scotland.1 He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Seton, daughter of Alexander Seton of Meldrum, younger, in 1610. He died on 8 November 1631.2
     Tutor (guardian for underage kinsman) of Cromarty.2 Inherited Castle Craig from brother Thomas.2 He lived Craigfintray.2 In 1604 built Craigston Castle, Aberdeenshire.2
