Sir Shirley Harris Salt, 3rd Bt. was born on 4 May 1857.1 He is the son of Sir William Henry Salt, 2nd Bt. and Emma Dove Octaviana Harris.2 He married Charlotte Jane MacDonnell, daughter of Very Rev. John Cotter MacDonnell, on 9 September 1880.1 He died on 11 February 1920 at age 62.1
He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Breconshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Leicestershire.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Salt, of Saltaire, co.
