     Susan Margaret Stackpole Motley was the daughter of Hon. John Lothrop Motley.2 She married Lt.-Col. Herbert Alexander St. John-Mildmay, son of Captain George William St. John-Mildmay and Mary Baillie, on 7 May 1884.1 She died on 27 May 1918.1
     From 7 May 1884, her married name became St. John-Mildmay.
