     Henry Richard Rycroft was born on 28 December 1911.1 He was the son of Major Sir Richard Nelson Rycroft, 5th Bt. and Emily Mary Lowry-Corry.2 He married Penelope Gwendoline Evans-Lombe, daughter of Lt.-Col. Charles Spencer Browne Evans-Lombe and Evelyn Gaitskell Burr, on 15 November 1941.1 He died in October 1985 at age 73 at Chichester, Sussex, England.1,3
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Darmouth, Devon, England.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.) in 1943.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1960.1 He retired from the military in 1962, with the rank of Commander, late of the Royal Navy.1

Charles Spencer Browne Evans-Lombe was born in 1861 at Malden, Surrey, England.2 He was the son of Charles Lombe and Josephine Hall.2 He was baptised on 15 December 1861 at Malden, Surrey, England.2 He married, firstly, Lilian Marian Anderson on 1 June 1892 at St. Michael's Church, Hockering, Norfolk, England.2 He married, secondly, Evelyn Gaitskell Burr on 21 September 1918 at Holyhead, Angelsey, Wales.2 He died on 26 July 1939 at The Mount, Beer Hill, Seaton, Devon, England.2
     He lived at Beer, Devon, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Leinster Regiment.1

     Penelope Gwendoline Evans-Lombe was born on 20 July 1919.2,3 She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Charles Spencer Browne Evans-Lombe and Evelyn Gaitskell Burr.4,5 She married Henry Richard Rycroft, son of Major Sir Richard Nelson Rycroft, 5th Bt. and Emily Mary Lowry-Corry, on 15 November 1941.1 She died on 21 February 2006 at age 86 at Rutland, England.2
     From 15 November 1941, her married name became Rycroft. She lived in 2003 at 19 Marcuse Fields, Bosham, Sussex, England.1
