Sir Joseph Renals, 1st Bt.1

     Sir Joseph Renals, 1st Bt. was born on 21 February 1843.1 He was the son of William Renals and Elizabeth Burton.2 He married Mary Wilson, daughter of Alfred Wilson, on 1 January 1870.1 He died on 1 November 1907 at age 64.1
     He held the office of Sheriff of London in 1892.1 He was appointed Knight in 1893.1 He held the office of Lord Mayor of London between 1894 and 1895.1 He was awarded the Officier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur in 1895.1 He was created 1st Baronet Renals [U.K.] on 4 September 1895.1
