Hon. James Russell Rea was born on 11 October 1902.1 He is the son of Walter Russell Rea, 1st Baron Rea and Evelyn Muirhead.2 He married, firstly, Betty Marion Bevan, daughter of Arthur Bevan, on 13 April 1926.1 He and Betty Marion Bevan were divorced in 1942.1 He married, secondly, Isobel Mary Pringle, daughter of Robert William Pringle, on 30 October 1942.1 He died on 15 August 1954 at age 51.1
