     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain between 1914 and 1919 in the 1st Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919.¹ He graduated from Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1919 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was with the Indian Civil Service between 1920 and 1948.¹ He graduated from Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1925 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1942.¹ He was a financial commissioner between 1944 and 1947.¹ He was Central Provinces Development Advisor to the Governor in 1945.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1948.¹

     Reverend John Robinson was the Vicar at Downtown, Wiltshire, England.¹

     Margaret Lovell Robinson was the daughter of Reverend John Robinson.² She married Sir Geoffrey Charles Frescheville Ramsden, son of Colonel Herbert Frescheville Smyth Ramsden and Hon. Edwyna Susan Elizabeth Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes, on 25 October 1930.¹ She died on 2 February 1976.¹
     From 25 October 1930, her married name became Ramsden.¹

     Mary Edwyna Ramsden was the daughter of Colonel Herbert Frescheville Smyth Ramsden and Hon. Edwyna Susan Elizabeth Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes.² She died on 24 November 1961, unmarried.¹
     She served in the Voluntary Aid Detachment during the First World War.¹
